Type of project : Replacement

Hello,

I built in 1978, when I opted for all-electric heating with an air-to-air heat pump included in a controlled mechanical ventilation system (CMV). This CAP failed me in the winter of 2006. I had a hard time finding an equivalent. I was referred to your company in the first quarter of 2007 by someone who was calling all the PAC manufacturers.

The first contact with you immediately convinced me of your competence. The future telephone and email exchanges with photos of the place allowed me to design with you a very personal and original installation that I am very satisfied with.

As I’m a handyman, the installation was no problem at all, except for a few problems adapting the vents on the roof. For the assembly of the CAP everything was very well spotted, even a novice could do it.

I’m waiting for the electricity bill at the end of the month to see how the energy balance compares to the same period of operation as the old one.

Nevertheless, I made some measurements of the air temperature injected in the room in relation to the outside temperature and I arrived at the same values as with the old one, within a degree. But since the flow rate is higher, the overall performance should be better. But the downside of the higher flow rate is the increase in ventilation noise. The last point that did not convince me this summer is the switch to air conditioning. I turned it on when the indoor temperature reached 26 degrees and after one day of operation I could not get the temperature to drop.

Maybe I should have started it earlier? Next test in summer 2009.

I am attaching a photo of the final installation with additional insulation.

Thanks again to the entire team for your precious collaboration.

Sincerely

Rémy ********
