EXTRACTION AND INSUFFLATION UNITS

Your dual-flow CMV maintains the quality of your indoor air without the help of a purifier thanks to its key components.

In this regard, the extract and insufflation vents are among the indispensable elements in the process of indoor air renewal. They are an essential component of your
air conditioning network.

Mechanical ventilation is based on a suction and blowing mechanism, to :

  • evacuate polluted air
  • to draw in fresh air from outside.

The extract and supply units are in charge of optimizing the transit of the incoming and outgoing air flows to maximize the efficiency of the ventilation system.

What is the role of an air vent? What criteria define the effectiveness of these facilities?

ROLE OF THE EXTRACT UNIT

Essential for theexpulsion of humidity and pollutants in the ambient air, the extract unit is placed in stale rooms such as the bathroom, toilet and kitchen. Its function is to ensure the permanent extraction of polluted air in these rooms. The extract unit is connected to the entire exhaust air duct.

ROLE OF THE BLOWHOLE

Opening allowing the outside air to penetrate the interior of the rooms, the air vent allows toblow new air in the house in order to renew the ambient air .

The air vent can be placed in each living room, respecting the regulatory flow rate recommended by the
VMC regulation.

The temperature and air flow rate through the air duct can be adjusted. The insufflation mouth:

  • delivers preheated fresh air
  • has a flow rate adapted to the volume of the room.

CRITERIA FOR THE CHOICE OF THE EXTRACTION AND INSUFFLATION UNIT

The choice of the extraction and insufflation ports is closely linked:

  • the specificities of the extraction network
  • as well as the room in which they will be installed.

Indeed, there are flow rates and dimensions to be respected when choosing an extract unit or an insufflation unit.

VMC INSUFFLATION MOUTH

The quality of an air vent influences the quality of air diffusion and the comfort of the occupants. The insufflation flow rate, the jet range and the opening mode are some of the main considerations in the choice of an insufflation mouth.

  • Air circulation

In order to allow a better mixing of the air present in a room, the blowing mouth must present a flow adapted to the volume to be mixed. The air speed must be maintained at 0.2 m/s for optimal diffusion.

  • Throwing range

The jet range of the blowhole must also be taken into account. The jet range of the air outlet determines the convective air circulation in the room and therefore the optimal mixing of the room air. Thus, this throw range must be at least 2/3 of the length of the part.

  • Fixed and mobile finned vents

The advantage of fixed finned vents is that they are easy to install. However, they cannot be tilted. It is therefore necessary to ensure that they are well positioned when installed.

On the other hand, the movable finned vents can be slightly tilted up or down. You can adjust their inclination to achieve the Coanda effect. This phenomenon creates an “air gap” which is essential to homogenize the air diffusion in the room.

EXTRACT UNIT VMC

The extract unit must satisfy an optimal extraction flow in the room where it will be installed. The choice of the extract unit is made according to the technical advice of the BET which will direct you on the dimension and the minimum flow to respect.

  • Maximum air speed

In addition, the regulation recommends a maximum air velocity of 0.2 m/s at the outlet of the extract unit. The objective is that the device set up can extract the existing volume of air in an ideal time.

  • The quality of the filters

By drawing in stale air, the exhaust vent retains residues that can easily clog it. Good quality filters contribute to the efficiency of the extract units. So remember to choose your filters carefully to avoid clogging up too quickly and clogging your extract units.

MYDATEC SUPPLIES YOUR EXTRACTION AND INSUFFLATION UNIT

As soon as you receive the
plan of your VMC network
MyDATEC prepares all the necessary assembly kit for its implementation. For this purpose, the extract and supply air vents are included in the components of the
CMV installation kit.

MyDATEC delivers all the materials along with plans, guides and support services to complete the installation of your ventilation system. Here are the specificities of MyDATEC’s extract and supply units.

MyDATEC INSUFFLATION Mouthpieces

MyDATEC supplies the air inlets for your ventilation system. These vents will provide you with healthy, filtered air at room temperature for your indoor comfort! Easy to install, they are designed to ventilate your living rooms, the bedroom, the living room as well as the dining room!

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MyDATEC INSUFFLATION MOUNTS

MyDATEC offers ceiling or wall-mounted air inlets depending on the configuration of the rooms.

Easy to adjust, they can be adjusted for comfort flow and better air volume mixing.

Depending on the required diameter, the air vent will be selected taking into account:

  • the size of the VMC duct,
  • of the blowing speed recommended by the BET.

We will adapt the number of vents, grilles and outlets according to the needs of each space.

MyDATEC EXTRACTION PLUGS

MyDATEC equips your wet rooms with extract units that meet the standards of the VMC regulation in order to preserve your interior from domestic pollutants.

This ready-to-install solution can be installed in the bathroom, kitchen and toilet. We will guide you in the installation and the adjustment of the pressure according to the volume of each room.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE EXTRACT UNITS

Intended for a thermodynamic CMV installation, these diffusers admit a pressure range between 50 and 160 Pa.

MyDATEC offers you a model with a removable grille, equipped with a regulation module to easily adjust the air extraction rate.

MODELS ADAPTED TO THE NEEDS OF THE SPACE

According to the configuration of your spaces, we select the vents with dimensions and formats adapted to each of your wet rooms.
