Ventilation regulations

Ventilation regulations

In France, the regulation of ventilation of dwellings is based on 2 major principles (see the official regulatory text:
the decree of March 1982
)

  • Ventilation must be general and permanent
  • It must sweep the whole dwelling thanks to air inlets installed in the main rooms and outlets placed in the service rooms

If it is a VMC (controlled mechanical ventilation), the minimum flow rates to be respected are the following:
The MyDATEC thermodynamic double flow ventilation system ventilates at least at the flow rates listed below.

Nb of main rooms 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Minimum total flow rate in m3/h 35 60 75 90 105 120 135
Minimum flow rate in kitchen in m3/h 20 30 45 45 45 45 45

The thermodynamic CMV has the particularity to work on at least 2 speeds:

  • the minimum flow rate or “small flow rate”: this is the flow rate of the machine when the heat pump is not in use. It corresponds to the requirements of the French ventilation regulations, and thus to the minimum ventilation rates set by the decree of March 82.
  • the nominal flow rate: this is the ventilation flow rate of the machine when the heat pump is in use. It is higher than the requirements of the French regulation, and corresponds on average to 200m3/h (depending on the surface of the house). This is the main reason why MyDATEC customers often report on the
    comfort
    of their installation.
